More on Family Tree Webinars

Family Tree Webinars are FREE on the day broadcast and usually for several days afterward. The membership allows one to watch any of the past webinars at any time and allows the member to download the speaker's handouts. Contrary to many of the pay sites, they give you enough advance warning when the membership is expiring to cancel if you wish.

Legacy Family Tree & Legacy Family Tree Webinars

In an effort to stay informed on the latest best practices and information live speakers are the best. It is not always possible to attend these events. This is where webinars are a great alternative. There are many excellent webinars out there, www.FamilyTreeWebinars.com is one of the best. You could watch a new webinar practically daily on any genealogy subject you are interested in. Yes, there is a charge but it is about equal to signing up for one webinar offered by many other sites. Another great feature is you can watch it in the comfort of your own home. Check it out.

International Ancestry.com

If you are an International Ancestry.com subscriber do you know that there are nine other Ancestry websites to go to under the Ancestry umbrella? I personally go to Ancestry.de for my research in Germany. Yes, there are some of the same results but there are lots of results that I do not find on Ancestry.com. To find this information scroll down to the bottom of your Ancestry.com home page. In the bottom right corner it says "Other Sites" with a drop down. Enjoy!

30 Days to the First Day of Spring

You are running out of time to complete your winter genealogy projects! One project you should do is check the Terms and Conditions Agreements of  websites, apps or other digital entities that handle your private information.
If you are like me you don't really take the time when signing up for these things to stop and totally understand this contract with the company. Now is the time to take the time.

Reconnect With Old Contact

Are you lucky enough to be sitting at home in this cold weather and have run out of things you should get done? A fun project for a few minutes is to send an email to someone you haven't contacted in at least a year. First - you make their day. Second - you remind them that you are still doing genealogy. Third - you might learn or share something new. I made contact with a second cousin who I haven't contacted since 2013. We have had a nice sharing of new information.

"Who Do You Think You Are?" View Old Episodes Anytime

"Who Do You Think You Are?" is a wonderful genealogy TV program. If you are looking for something good to watch (when you are not doing genealogy) do a Google search of their website and choose the old episode you would like to watch for FREE depending on your internet provider. Unless you have a computer compatible TV you will have to watch it on your computer.

"Find Your Roots" is back!!

One of our favorite genealogy TV programs is back again for another season. "Find Your Roots" will air the first episode of this season on Tuesday January 8 on Channel 10 at 7:00PM Central Time.
