Genealogy Tip - Uncle Joe?

Just because someone is referred to as uncle, aunt, grandpa, grandma or cousin in a vintage letter it does not mean the person is a true relative. It may have been used as a term of endearment or respect for a neighbor or friend of the family. That information is also important - but in a different way.

Genealogy Tip - Offsite Backups

This week's weather should remind all of us to update our offsite backups. This could be in the Cloud, at your children's house,  or at your bank in a safe deposit box. For safety reasons, at least one backup copy should be stored offsite where it would not be damaged by a disaster in your home.
